Re: getting pistons in to barrels

Yeah, it's not a easy task to get those piston in place. But if the motor is in frame it's posssible to take one piston at a time, staring with the front. I'm looking for a 42mm std piston, and wondering who is Gerd Krauter? :)

Re: My new -57 175sv

No, it wasn't complely seized, but it took some time to get the sylinder off, see picture of cylinder puller! :D One broken piston ring in the front cylinder, and worn ring grooves, have to find a new piston for that one. Picked up this today, thinking to keep it "as is". Pistons are pretty stuck in the barrels, have moved them some millimeters, but have to find some way to free them fully. :)

Re: Puch 175 SV Detectives needed 'a big mystery'

I found just the same bits in the oil canal of my 175 when I tore it down. Had to remove the steel plug in the front of the crankcase to be able to get in with some picking tools to get the bits out.

Re: Workshop manual 175sv?

Re: 175sv cylinder head with twin plug?

Ok, this isn't necessarily the original head, there was also a single plug head as a loose part following the bike when I purchased it. I guess there isn't much advantage using the twin head over the single?
